ROCKBROS sells cycling and outdoor accessories at rockbrosus.com, covering bike bags, gloves, pedals, lights, helmets, sunglasses, phone mounts, locks, hydration gear and an e-bike accessories collection. The discount code RIDESAVE takes 15% off storewide, and it behaves identically whichever device you use. What changes is where the entry field sits and how easy it is to confirm the discount actually landed before you pay.
The storefront runs on a standard Shopify-style checkout. On desktop, the order summary sits in a right-hand column that stays visible while you fill in shipping details. On a phone, that same summary is collapsed behind a bar labelled "Show order summary" at the top of the page. The discount field lives inside that summary in both cases, labelled "Discount code" or "Gift card".
Browse rockbrosus.com and add items to the cart, choosing size and colour on each product page.
Open the cart drawer or cart page and click through to checkout.
Look to the right-hand order summary and find the "Discount code" or "Gift card" field.
Type RIDESAVE into the field and press Apply.
Check that the code appears as a labelled line item and that the subtotal drops by 15%.
Only then enter shipping and payment details.
The desktop advantage is that the summary never disappears. As you work down the shipping and payment fields, the discount line and running total stay in view, so you can spot straight away if a total changes when shipping is calculated.
The steps are the same, with one extra tap. After reaching checkout, tap "Show order summary" at the top of the screen to expand the panel. The discount field is inside. Type the code, press Apply, then confirm the discount line appears before collapsing the summary again and moving on to shipping and payment.
The risk on mobile is simply forgetting the summary is there. If you scroll straight into address entry without expanding it, you can reach the payment step with no discount applied. The code must be entered before payment; asking for it to be added retroactively is a support request and is not guaranteed.
On a phone, copying a code from a message or browser tab is tempting, but pasting can bring a trailing space with it, and that breaks the match. Typing RIDESAVE manually into the field is the safer habit on either device. It is eight characters, and on mobile keyboards autocorrect and auto-capitalisation are the main things to watch — check the field reads exactly as intended before tapping Apply.
The 15% is calculated on the product subtotal, not on shipping or tax, so the figure you see deducted should track the goods total rather than the grand total. Most stores apply one discount per order, so this code will usually replace another code rather than stack with it. Bundles, bikes and already-reduced or high-ticket items are the usual candidates for exclusions, and whether any specific ROCKBROS items are excluded is not stated — the practical check is watching whether the discounted total updates as expected before you pay.
One knock-on effect matters more than the device you use. ROCKBROS US advertises free shipping on orders over a stated threshold, excluding bulky items and bikes, and the exact threshold has shifted between promotions. Applying the discount can pull a subtotal below that line, so a 15% saving can quietly add a shipping charge. Check the site banner on the day you order, and compare the final total both ways if you are close to the cut-off. On desktop the persistent summary makes that comparison easier; on mobile, expand the summary again after entering your address so you can see shipping and discount side by side.
Device makes no difference to what follows. The store lists a warranty on most products, and there is a 30-day return and exchange window measured from the delivery date. Keep the order confirmation showing the discount line item, since that is the record of what you paid after the 15% came off.
