A large number of our nominations come from primary partners who know their families well and recognise when children are likely to miss out at Christmas. A small gesture from Promising Futures means that these children can feel the magic of Christmas and hope for better days to come. 

A key part of our 'Christmas Spirit' initiative is that the gift isn't from Promising Futures, we facilitate the gift but then we leave it to the nominating organisation to best decide who that present comes from, often we encourage that this is loved one and where possible saved for Christmas day itself. 

Inevitably children lose parents and loved ones, this can be particularly tough to deal with during the festive period and so we welcome nominations from young people who are dealing with bereavement and who need our help to keep memories alive and cherish precious moments.
