We know that every child is going to grow and develop differently. They are all unique individuals affected by genetics, environment, opportunities and their own unique personalities. There are commonalities however, in how most children reach foundational developmental milestones. This training section will take a look at some typical development expectations and when development may be atypical and require further intervention.

Atypical development means simply development that is different than expected. As mentioned before every child develops a little differently based on their own unique experience, genetics and abilities. When a child is developing in a consistent way that is different from expectations, this may be a good time to consider additional intervention.
