Use the menu to choose the type of expedition you´ll want to join after reading below for additional information.
Here we conduct expeditions to search for wildlife. This is a Citizen Science project you are volunteering to. You´ll be the member of a research group, not a tourist. Plans may be changed according to what we decide together or what we need to accomplish our goals. You may want to or we may need to camp in a tent one night or two, or in a hotel we pick near the study site, just so we can stay longer for our wildlife search purposes.
Our expeditions are for people that are collected and are looking to enjoy nature, work and learn for a purpose, and contribute to wildlife conservation, not for the tourist seeking only to have their own way. We have a schedule and rules that should be followed. Grown kids are allowed on the basis of exception and only after parents have contacted the host.
We currently have three campsites, roughly 100 miles from each other. Accommodations will vary according to campsite but are usually basic, with possibilities of overnights in a third party hotel.
Your contact and host will be Dr. Marcelo Mazzolli, an accomplished wildlife biologist with over 35 years of experience, 10 years of which with Citizen Science projects worldwide.
Two of the campsites are in the highlands, one at the highlands foothill. Restaurants and hotels abound here, but nothing matches Dr. Mazzolli´s barbecue, breakfast or pizza.
