In the midst of battle, the team catches wind of a special 'ace card' the government has deployed in to the army of Government Soldiers stationed not too far from base. Intrigued by this rumor, you set out to attack the small base from said rumor.
Engaged against the enemy, Yuka clears out a path to march through. It is only when she looks up from the ruins that she notice a blonde haired man with an odd looking.. thing branching out from the back of his neck.
"Oh, just look at you! I’m slathered in the blood of my former allies," He claps his hands together with a coy grin. Yuka stares at him in confusion, only just noticing the purple tint embalming his fingertips. "I’d love to shake your hand out of respect, though I fear you might die if I do," He smiles, "I am Dante, the government’s 'secret ace card'. Does the resistance need a sickly man who can kill a person in one touch? Because, well, you’ve terminated just about everyone here rather quickly for my standards.. But, oh, you wouldn’t say no to a ‘test’ where I tried to do the same to you, would you?"
REQUIRED: FANG (C)
Silas has sent Yuka and Fang out on a reconnaissance mission together out into Diarise to collect information on a Government Base. Having narrowly avoided government soldiers, the two walk out into a deserted area, before Fang notices the sound of an army marching over to where they were. Riddled in panic, the two hid into a hidden alleyway, watching as the army marches past, with their dyed blonde haired general at the back. After speaking to one of the soldiers, the general stops right next to the alley. When the rest of the army marches and leaves their general behind, Fang walks out of the shadows and points a pistol to their head.
"...Oh, it's you," The man smiled rather earnestly, looking at the former hitman right in the eye.
"Shut up, old man."
"You brought a friend with you," He mentions, glancing over at you before Fang rattles the gun to serve as a reminder. Almost like clockwork, he subdues Fang with a quick hit to the chin with the base of his hand and quickly dragging his unconscious body into the alley.
"You might want to come in here, miss. They'll be back anytime soon."
She sighs and decides to follow along to what he says. Though, it turns out he wasn't lying. The army marches back fast, seemingly looking for someone. You hear them grumble about a defected general, and that's when you spot a bead of sweat trickle down the side of the man's face. Once the army runs off to who knows where, the man speaks once more with a bit of a grin.
"I'm sure my nephew never talks about me," He hums, ruffling the top of Fang's head, "Forgive the intrusion, miss. My name is Victor Bracket, defected general of The Government Of The World's army."

"Hey, I heard on the grapevine that the Government had made a certain museum their new base of operations. What do you think of it, Silas?" The blonde haired man mumbles as he, Inigo and Silas sat in the meeting room.
"...It's kind of unlike you to bring this kind of stuff up to me, Chen."
"Er, sorry. I was talking about it with Lucian before he scoffed at my suggestion to ask for a certain thief's help in clearing out the base before they get too comfortable being nearby."
"..Mikhail?" Inigo piped.
"Yeah."
"Find Yuka for me, and call on Lucian. He'll probably be more inclined to help if we involve her," Silas sneered.
And so, Yuka watches as Lucian begrudgingly is forced to send a calling card, summoning forth a man remarked as 'Hermes', like the greek god of thieves. A week passes by before they receive a response.
'Finally contacted me, did you? I suppose I can lend you a hand, Detective. Rendezvous at The Museum, 1 AM, exactly tomorrow. I'll see you and your tactician then. Signed, Hermes,' followed with a hand drawn smile emoji with a little monocle.
REQUIRED: RAYMOND (B)
"Say, Ray. I'm kind of curious. Why'd Scion break up?"
"Erm.. It's a long story. Shortly after the drummer departed, the bassist had to leave due to his family's disapproval.. Then the guitarist followed suit, and then, well.. The war broke out. I haven't seen them since.." Raymond grumbled.
"But, Yuka. I know they're somewhere in the government. I had my old phone ring with a notification from my bassist about a year back, but they haven't messaged me again since."
"Why's that?"
"..I have no idea. Sorry, this is probably a big hassle, but do you think you can help me establish a connection? I have to see them, we made a promise to meet in a few days, but.. I've never seen them in battle either. It's almost as though they've been shoved aside and left to dust."
Yuka and Raymond soon set out on a little quest to seek out The Ace of Swords and Knight of Cups. Upon coming across them in a guarded government facility, the four attempt to make an escape..
REQUIRED: LEON (B)
The grim man set his eyes on the Resistance base, his eyes scanning a way in. His eyes briefly lock with The Wheel of Fortune's, but neither make an attempt at the other's lives.
"By the way, Yuka. I don't suppose you know Leon has an older brother?" The blackcurrant haired man questions as his hands fiddled with one of Raymond's guitars,
"Wait, really? What's he like?" Yuka piques in curiosity.
"Well, like me, but with darker hair and square glasses. Me and Gray couldn't leave because, well..
My brother would drag us back to the Government by force." Leon mumbled.
"..Your brother sounds horrifying."
"He is! One issue. I think he's going to be out to get you for 'kidnapping' me."
"Wait, what?"
REQUIRED: LUCIAN (C), DEMETER (B)
“It’s quite an achievement for someone to actually be able to bypass the security system Sen made. I helped code it in as well. It’s really no easy feat, you know..” Inigo lowered his gaze, as a saddened expression plastered itself on his face.
“This is just a suggestion, Yuka. But should we somehow ever come across the person who managed to bypasse them, we should try to take them in,” Chen suggested gently as he took out a couple of files from the bookshelves by him. It would make sense to try.
“If they won’t cooperate, take them in by force.” Fāng cut in, grumbling as he enters the RnD room. Unfortunately, as right as they were, it’d be extraordinarily difficult to even know who did it. You’d think the kind of information that told you who was behind it would be pretty hard to find. Not to mention this bypassing and overriding should, from Inigo's calculations, have had to happen after the war broke out, meaning it could’ve been an inside job and the only people who even know about it wouldn’t ever turn away from the government. It was a game of pure luck, and the chances of winning it was near zero.
A short few days pass by. The resistance were planning to push out and remove a small, yet rather skilled government base right outside the outskirts of a city nearby.
The discussion Yuka had with Inigo, Chen and Fāng sprung up again in her head during their march out. Chen and Fāng sounded like it was very possible for them to be able to execute it. Find the engineer, isolate them from their team, kidnap them and take them hostage. Yes, it could actually be beneficial to the resistance. The RnD team could use some help. However, what if they simply won’t confess to it? What if they’ve already been killed in battle? It simply just wasn’t possible without a major amount of luck, Yuka thought. Their thoughts and words served to dampen Yuka’s mood. Arriving at the battlefield, Yuka decided to let loose for this specific battle. Wipe out as much people as she can, think about that unknown engineer thing later. She had set her eyes on a specific team of government soldiers near the back of the enemy ranks. She didn’t know why she chose that specific team to completely annihilate, but she didn’t question her mind at all. Soon, the battle started and everything slowly became a blurry mess. After mowing through the enemy ranks, Yuka reaches the specific team she wanted to annihilate. A portion of them were instilled with fear at Yuka’s physical state. Her clothes were madly stained with the blood of their allies, her face smothered in said blood also. Her nonchalant stare stirred even more fear into them. She runs right through them, abusing the White Star’s sharp edge to cut through them as though they were paper. After she thinks she’s wiped them all out, she looks up at the field in front of her, as though she just got out from a trance. A singular man sat horrified on the grass, probably having fallen down from the shock, his glasses cracked. It likely fell during the massacre Yuka had just committed. The man was weaponless. It didn’t seem as though he was in a physical state to wield anything either. He was just a scrawny, nerdy man who seemed just around Yuka’s age. Upon seeing her gaze be directed to him, the man pleaded.
“..Please, don’t kill me! I’ll do anything to stay alive.. just please, don’t kill me!” The man begged, his dark purple hair all over his face. He’s completely pale. You’d think a person would fight for their fallen allies instead of begging the enemy general to spare their life. Nonetheless, hearing his pleads made Yuka snap out of the state she was in. She slowly walked torwards him, as quiet as possible. It contrasted the way everyone and everything on the battlefield was screaming and fighting for their own lives. The battle had already slightly died down, though it’s still really ear splitting.
Yuka kneeled down in front of the man.
“I won’t kill you. But you’re coming with me.” She blankly spoke. Her eyes were filled with the same blankness, causing the man’s heart to throb even more in fear. He had no other choice but to slowly nod in agreement. The battle itself was rather short. The resistance has proven themselves to be victorious once again. During the march back to the resistance base, Yuka stayed on the backline, supervising the hostage. During her observation, well, he’s not actually that much different compared to when he was on the battlefield. He stayed as quiet as a mouse. And unfortunately, he was in a den of predators. None of the resistance members had really cared to look at him anyways, only Yuka did as she needed to make sure he wouldn’t get away.
“What’s your name?” Yuka spoke quietly to the man. He's shaken up a bit, and it takes him a good while to answer.
“Emile.. Huang.”
“Emile Huang. Alright.” She nods, as she guides him into the base.
After consulting with Silas (right in front of said hostage), Silas agreed it’d be best to just keep him here. ‘Maybe he’d be useful,’ Silas said.
