At the beginning of our campaign we sent out a survey to our peers in highschool. The survey asked questions regarding their mental health and what issues they feel are important at our school. We also asked what they wanted to learn about mental health! ๐
Through an anonymous survey and in-depth interviews, we gathered insights into the most common stressors, coping mechanisms, and areas where students need more support. The findings revealed that academic pressure, social expectations, and lack of mental health resources contribute significantly to student anxiety. This research serves as the foundation for our campaign, driving our mission to raise awareness, provide resources, and advocate for better mental health support in schools. More details, including data visualizations and key takeaways, can be found on our research poster.
