Please consider contributing to the project. Your contributions will help move the game forward and improve the soccer experience for all.
We are a grassroots project supporting grassroots soccer in Canada from coast to coast to coast dedicated to bringing the youth soccer community together so #WeCAN #growthegame.
Raise awareness of declining youth soccer participation in Canada and move beyond a cliché hashtag to actually help #growthegame.
To provide a forum for Canada’s youth soccer community to come together, contribute, hear, and be heard; providing players, parents, clubs, leagues and governing bodies an opportunity to better understand each other and work collaboratively to #growthegame.
We UNDERSTAND the geographic and demographic complexity of Canada and we APPRECIATE our regional and CULTURAL differences.
We strive to INFORM with EVIDENCE based content, guided by OPENNESS and TRANSPARENCY.
We ENCOURAGE the soccer community to SHARE their experiences and ideas and RESPECT our differences.
We fundamentally BELIEVE all members of the youth soccer community ACT in the best interest of the game, guided by varied personal experiences and levels of expertise, training and education.
Notice to Readers
Project #growthegame shares the Canada Soccer Associations definition of a soccer club[1] as "... being any organization that is a member of Canada Soccer either directly or affiliated through membership with a MA that registers players and coaches and delivers soccer programming. The status of the organization as either not-for-profit or private is not relevant...." Though the organizational structure is different between private and not-for-profit clubs, their professional and ethical responsibility to the soccer community in Canada and the players they represent is not.
In any instance where a distinction between private and not-for-profit clubs must be made, the use of club will be prefixed with "private" or "not-for-profit". In all cases where the term club is used without prefix, both organizational structures are being referenced.
