First phase is simple, yet also very delicate.
Add 3D to the ride for the 360 climax.
This shouldn't be difficult as it was already planned to be in 3D and has glasses distribution spots already in the queue. The fact that 3D was cut so late into development of the Florida version of Supercharged is a part of why the perspective issues are so bad in the ride's animations (Though the visuals are FAR from perfect in the Hollywood version even with 3D).
(Themed signs, a closed off distribution spot, and a glasses return station can all be seen in the queue)
Adding 3D is only one piece of Phase One. The next part is the key.
We refuse to acknowledge that the 3D is new
Obviously, fans will notice and sites will report about it, but if they want to keep their special privileges, access to events, and inside information than fan sites will not make a big deal about the 3D being added and bury the news. To help, detailed announcements for Universal's Epic Universe opening day line up will be made around this same time to dominate the news cycle.
The goal is to make it seem like 3D is not new. To make it seem as if it has been there the whole time.
"The 3D was always there you're just imagining it wasn't"
This is where the gaslighting begins to kick in.
Another key factor of step one is to make the graphics worse. Slight tweaks that will be tough to notice and even observant guests will just attribute to the 3D making things blurrier. But the truth is that we are intentionally making the effects slightly worse, the visuals muddier and darker, the perspective further off. Everything guests complain about with the effects, we lean into those. Nothing extreme, but subtly even more terrible than it already is.
Remember! Never acknowledge we are doing this!Â
The truth is irrelevant and does not help us so we shall ignore it and encourage others to forget it.
