The Comunidades Compasivas Program's aim is to work collaboratively with community organizations and  foundations, in order to train and provide wellbeing support to underserved trauma-exposed Latinx communities and those working directly with them. Through different projects tailored to specific populations, we offer free of charge compassion-based trainings and support.

To date, more than 80 Latina/Hispanic women have participated on the Spanish-led 6-week Short Course on Mindful Self-Compassion Program (SC-MSC) where participants receive cultivation of compassion and well-being training. Through our pre/post tests, participants reported higher levels of compassion towards themselves, greater resilience, increased connectedness with the community, lower levels of stress and an increase of coping strategies and mechanisms. Our coaches have imparted more than 40 hours in leadership and communication coaching support sessions. 100% of participants reported recommending the course to their community peers, were very satisfied with the facilitator, the coach and the program overall.
