Guidelines

Guidelines for the design and implementation of lessons which integrate programming into the teaching of mathematics.

In these Guidelines you will find instructions on how to use the project methodology, as well as a model lesson template (for a downloadable version see below under the Guidelines), to produce Math lessons with integrated programming to support learning.

The Guidelines contain supporting materials for teachers to design, implement and evaluate their own lessons using programming in Math teaching. You are invited to use the project methodology, that is based on theories and methods that are not usually combined and/or used in a school context. The methods are based on iterative learning processes as well as collaboratory and participatory practices. You will hopefully find that the methodology is contributing towards team building and improved work satisfaction. Should this be the case, the methodology is easily transferable to the creation of any other lesson planning, in all school subjects.

You will also find information about how your new lessons can be included in the ProgMath collection of model lessons and published on the website.
