The Timeline for Receiving Your Degree

1. You can apply for your degree at the beginning of your Final year of classes. For instance, if you are planning to complete all of your required classes in the Spring of 2021, you can apply for graduation in the Fall of 2020.

2. You will receive at least one e-mail for the KCAD registrar's office prompting you to complete the application

3. Once the registrar's office receives your application, they will check to see if you have already, or on-track, to complete all of the courses required to earn your degree. They will send you a notification of completion or a list of courses that you still need to complete

4. If there are any issues, please contact me right way at fischerb@ferris.edu. I can usually help to resolve them in short-order.

5. Your degree is not handed to you at the graduation ceremony. It is mailed to you once the audit process is completed.

   • • If you finish your coursework in December, you will likely have already received your degree in the mail prior to the May ceremony.

     • If you finish your degree in May, your degree will be mailed to you some time in the following weeks.
