Of course you know how to "look for a job"; but I gotta tell you that even for myself I found looking for a job to be a job within itself.
This is a valuable course for graduates of high school and college, for individuals just entering the workforce, currently seeking employment and even for individuals returning to work or transitioning into a different career. I have had students from every stage in their working career and most assume this course covers basic ideas we all may already know; however, many students that have taken this course have obtained a new perspective on seeking employment or ensuring their career goals are going in the right direction.
This course is designed to help students develop occupational competency for obtaining desired positions in the workforce. The course covers self-evaluation, researching specific careers and companies, conducting informational interviews, preparing required documents (resume, cover letter) that get the interview, marketing oneself as the best candidate, and applying follow-up procedures.
Ask yourself this...Have you been applying to numerous jobs with no call-backs? Are you currently graduating from LBCC and have no idea how to approach this? Have you been out of the job market for quite some time and have no idea what the modern job seeking process looks like?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then let me assist you in this job seeking process that will not only modernize your career portfolio but help you gain the confidence you need to landing a meaningful and promising career.
