Research

My research group is passionate and energetic and puts great diligence into everything we do. The goal is to create knowledge that makes software better, smarter, and more sustainable, from one side, and makes the life of developers and end-users better, on the other side. Our main current research focuses on studying both software systems and their evolution and data that users/developers produced consciously and unconsciously while they interact with software systems and/or they apply approaches and methodologies in fields related to ICT and software engineering, in particular.  Please take a look at the ongoing projects.  There are several possibilities to work on this project and there are also several open positions on them for you! We are often on the lookout for Ph.D. students, research fellows, and scholarships. The goal of a Ph.D. student and of a research fellow is to perform innovative and exciting research around ICT (embedded systems and CPS and IoT systems) and the general themes of Software Engineering. No topic is defined beforehand, but is something that we define together. We will open three new positions in the context of the projects: MOOD (1 research fellow position-18 months) and MSR4SBOM (2  research fellow position-24 months each). Drop me an email for further information.
