Take a square of 1cm side and make six identical squares on each side.
The cube is made with six square blocks.
Do the same for the pyramid.
To make a pyramid you need a square with the same length as the base, but with one shorter side.
The pyramid is made with four of these squares.
You can now place a square in the middle of each face. The edges of the square should be even with the edges of the faces.
Now take a longer square and place it in the center of the cube, but don't connect it to the sides yet.

Place another square next to it, this time making sure that the edge of the square touches the edges of the faces.
Connect this square to the first square by drawing an arrow between the two. You can also just draw a line.
Doing this for all squares will form a pyramid.
Use a big box or something similar to hold the sphere while you’re cutting. You can use a piece of foam core to do this, or even an upside down bucket with the lid on. This will allow you to put your glue and paper in the bucket, and then place the lid over it to hold it all in place.
You should have plenty of paper left over. Cut the paper into strips that are about 2 inches wide. You don’t need a whole lot of pieces, but it is good to have a few extras.
Take one strip of paper and cut out a small triangle from one end.
Attach the triangles to the bottom of the sphere using hot glue. This should help keep the sphere upright as you go along.
Once you’ve covered the bottom half of the sphere, you can add the first layer of “straw” strips.
You’ll need to start with the widest point of the sphere, and work your way in towards the center. Make sure that the straws are all touching each other.
You can leave gaps between the straws if you want, but it’s best to try to make them as tight as possible. The tighter the better!
Cover the straws with baking paper and secure in place with a bit of tape. This will prevent any accidental spills from reaching the straws.
Now all you need to do is fill your cup or jar with water and pour it into the top of your cage. The weight of the water will eventually push all of the straws out of the way.
Once that happens, you can start your next batch of seedlings. You’ll have to wait until the water has completely drained from the container before adding more seeds and water.
