As you approach the elves, you decide to try to talk them out of their game. You approach them cautiously, not wanting to startle or anger them. "Excuse me," you say, trying to get their attention. "I couldn't help but notice that you are playing cards. I was wondering if you might be willing to stop and talk to me for a moment."

The elves look up at you and laugh. "What's the matter, human?" one of them says, sneering at you. "Are you afraid to play against us? Do you think you can't beat an elf at cards?"

The other elves chime in, taunting you and calling you silly for trying to trick them. They convince you to join in their game, and you find yourself sitting down at the table with them. You are not sure if this was the best decision, but you are determined to prove yourself and see if you can beat the elves at their own game.
