Hi, I am Prithvijit (pronounced PRITH-vee-jeet), a Visiting Assistant Professor at Bryn Mawr College, with joint appointments in the Department of Economics and the Department of International Studies.
My research examines how social structures influence inequalities in earnings, access to opportunities, norms, and the quality of information available for decision-making. I am especially interested in the dynamics of behavior in networks, the spread of misinformation, and the distributional consequences of policy interventions. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Political Behavior and Public Choice.
In the classroom, I emphasize interactive, student-centered learning that connects economic theory to real-world contexts and students’ lived experiences.
I received my Ph.D. from Georgia State University and have previously taught at Mount Holyoke College and Georgia State University.
