My first job was as a service crew worker at Jollibee, where I began working in the summer of 2018 and stayed until 2021. I balanced my school schedule, attending classes Monday through Friday while working weekends from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
I primarily worked in the drive-thru, taking orders, preparing drinks, assembling meals, and handling payments. This experience taught me the true value of hard-earned money and gave me insight into the physical demands of being on my feet for eight hours a day. It was a valuable lesson in work ethic and resilience.
In the spring of 2024, I started working at a Filipino bakery called Starbread. My schedule runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays. In this role, I primarily handle customer orders, manage transactions, and fold boxes for our bread.
This job has taught me the importance of patience and understanding. I believe my experience at Jollibee really prepared me for this position, as it boosted my confidence in interacting with customers and enhanced my customer service skills.
