(NOTE: A 14 seconds long Japanese TV advertisement featuring Sheila E. singing this track was aired in Japan a few days after the single's release, but it can be considered stock music as any other Prince track used in an ad, film or TV program, thus doesn't need to be featured on this list.)

The Bangles - If She Knew What She Wants single (03/18) (release date according to Amazon and iTunes, while Wikipedia says April and the first time it charted in Europe -in Ireland- was 04/26, so it's hard to tell for sure)

(NOTE: Princevault lists it as being on the Japanese Manic Monday single, but that was released in August while the song first appeared on the British and European.12'' of If She Knew What She Wants.)

(NOTE: Princevault also lists the music video version. However, since it's a live rendition and Prince doesn't seem to have been directly involved in the arrangements of Sheila E.'s live performances, I really see no reason not to consider it a cover version, as every other live rendition of a song given by Prince to another artist.)

Prince And The Revolution - AM-TV TV broadcast (08/13)

- Raspberry Beret - 2:33 (new live recording)

(NOTE: It is possible that this version, from the 08/12 Wembley show, is the same as the Music Box broadcast below, but having lost my copy of the latter, I can't be sure. IIRC, the Music Box broadcast was added as a bonus on a bootleg DVD of the Detroit Parade concert, so maybe someone can find it there for me. More info needed.)

Prince And The Revolution - Music Box TV broadcast (08/14)

- Raspberry Beret - 1:57 (new live recording)

(NOTE: It is possible that this version is the same as the AM-TV broadcast above but but it could also be from the 08/13 show. Having lost my copy of Music Box, I can't be sure. IIRC, the Music Box broadcast was added as a bonus on a bootleg DVD of the Detroit Parade concert, so maybe someone can find it there for me. More info needed.)

Prince And The Revolution - NOS Journaal TV broadcast (08/17)

- A Love Bizarre - ?:?? (new live recording)

(NOTE: This more or less 1 minute long snippet was aired on Dutch TV, and is from the circulating 18 minutes pro-shot video of the Rotterdam show that day. I don't know how long it was, though. More info needed.)

- Mountains - 3:50 (new live recording)

- Kiss - 9:33 (new live recording)

(NOTE: Between 2 and 4 different versions of this show have in fact been sent to TV channels and aired in 1986 and later. As far as I can tell, there was no main US broadcast of the show, but I may be wrong. There are 2 different edits of the European TV version, one with and one without Soft And Wet. It's unclear to me why certain versions feature it and some don't, nor what was aired where (the version with Soft And Wet may even be a bootleg). Listed below is the Japanese TV version, which omits certain tracks and contains 2 edits of others. Finally, the entire show appears to have been aired on WGPR - see unidentified/uncertain tracks below.)

Prince And The Revolution - Parade japanese TV broadcast (??/??) (most likely after September 9, which marks the end of the Parade tour)

Prince - KMOJ radio broadcast (09/??) (between 09/17 and 09/21)

- Shockadelica (Extended Version) - 6:12 (included in the If I Was Your Girlfriend maxi-single on 1987/05/13 and Sign "O" The Times Deluxe in 2020)

Jesse Johnson - Shockadelica album (09/22)

- Do Yourself A Favor - 3:58 (arranger only) (released without Prince's consent)

(NOTE: Princevault mentions it but doesn't acknowledge Prince's contribution. However, the arrangement is undeniably the same as Prince's then unreleased version, so I don't see why it shouldn't be listed. Regarding Jesse Johnson getting half of the songwriting credit, Pepé Willie explained this to interviewer K Nicola Dyes: "(In 1986) Jesse Johnson called me and he wanted to record Do Yourself A Favor and I said 'Yeah, man, go ahead and do it.' I split the publishing with him on his version, even though I owned the rights to the song. But he had a hit album out and he was requesting that he get 50 percent of the rights to his version. I said 'Okay, fine.' I didn't care."

Kenny Rogers - They Don't Make Them Like They Used To album (10/23)

- You're My Love - 4:06 (composer only)

UNIDENTIFIED/UNLISTED/UNCERTAIN TRACKS:

Parade WGPR TV broadcast

According to a source (the late BigChick a.k.a. Richard Kuhn), the full 1986 Detroit show (the same that was used for the Parade promo video album above) was aired late at night by Detroit TV channel WGPR at some point in 1986 (or possibly even later). This last version was pro-shot and sent to the station either by Prince himself or members of his staff, and it's not clear whether Prince had authorized this broadcast or whether he was even aware of its existence, but the tape was definitely sent by someone from his camp. The exact content of this broadcast is uncertain: I don't know whether it was entirely unedited or if some small cuts were made here and there. More info needed.

Possible TV appearances by Sheila E.

Sheila lip-synched on the following shows, but I have no way of knowing if any of those are unique edits. More info needed.

UK: A Love Bizarre at Solid Gold (March)

NETHERLANDS: Holly Rock and The Belle Of St. Mark at Countdown (05/03)

Sheila E. made a few other barely documented TV appearances, but it's likely they were all live performances without any Prince involvement. More info needed.
