The songs are listed as such:
TITLE │ Author
Title of version │ length │ credited artist │ first released on │ earliest release date │ other relevant information
A few rules about how the list works:
Some songs are derivative of, or borrow strong elements from other songs. However as long as they were released under a different title, they will be considered different compositions and receive separate entries. My judgement may occasionally differ from Princevault in terms of what consititutes a separate song or not.
Oppositely, some songs have been released under different titles (or title variations) even though they were without possible doubt the same composition, in which case they will be listed in the album version's entry (or the first released version in case of non-album tracks/several different album versions).
In the case two entirely different songs share a similar title, they will receive two separate entries.
A certain number of remixes of songs are so drastically different from the original that they could be considered different compositions. However, for the sake of clarity, they will be listed in the original version's entry.
All segues will be listed together in the "Segue" entry at the very bottom of the list, regardless of title if any, and regardless of whether they contain musical elements or not. Segues that were included in a song's track on CD or digital formats, instead of on a separate track, will not be listed (again for the sake of clarity). Segues from podcasts, samplers and other radio/TV shows will be listed, though. Untitled musical cues from Purple Rain, Under The Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge will also be included in the "Segue" entry.
All megamixes, medleys and DJ sets will also be listed together at the very bottom of the list, in the "Megamixes/Medleys/DJ sets" entry, under their own title when they had one or as "Untitled Mix" when they did not.
Multiple versions of a single song will always be listed in chronological order.
Some mixes were released under different "bracket titles" (such as "X Mix" or "Edit") over the years and releases. I only give here the first known given title for those, assuming that length will help you figure out what you have. Princevault will be more comprehensive than me when it comes to giving alternate titles.
Again for the sake of clarity, titles beginning with symbols will be listed as if beginning with the corresponding letter (The Eye for I is listed as Eye, ♥ = Love, $ = Money).
Writer/composer's credits:
There are occasional contradictions between how the songs were copyrighted and information later revealed by research and/or third parties. In the few cases where the available data differs from the actual copyright, it is indicated.
If a co-authorship claim has been made by an associate, but either 1/ hasn't been confirmed by research and/or corroborated by a third party, or 2/ has been confirmed/corroborated, but is really in a grey area between authorship and arrangement, it is also mentioned. Please also note that "claim" doesn't mean that I imply the person is lying, only that there is no consensus on the matter.
