Our community consists of a huge quantity of diverse individuals in which Discord’s typical integrated functions do not meet our needs for transparency, communication or efficiency. Henceforth, all moderators are expected to be well versed in varying technical and automated systems that we actively maintain for the purposes of community engagement and/or enforcement.
To begin using any moderation function in our communications server, all moderation staff must have 2-factor authentication enabled on both Discord and Roblox. Probationary Moderators will be asked to confirm this upon employment.
Varying integrated systems are available for use including;
Dyno
Terminal
Discord Moderation Tools
Automod
However, our primary integrated tool for Discord Moderation is Dyno. If moderators are in a situation where Dyno is unavailable, they must use Terminal. Usage of the Discord Moderation tools must only be used when there are no alternatives available, or it is the only efficient way to subdue a threat.
All actions taken by integrated systems are logged in Discord's built-in audit log and will be reviewed by Senior Moderation. Usage of integrated systems must be logged in the #evidence channel in the main communications server.
You are also expected to have Developer Mode enabled; upon activation, right click on a user or message to collect their ID Number and use it in your commands. Probationary Moderators will be asked to confirm this upon employment.
Users are able to ‘flag’ messages within the Paragon server, in which a ping will be sent out in #moderation-calls within the Terminal Server. This feature is intended for major rule violations only. Moderators are expected to review such calls in a timely manner as Moderation Calls are much more urgent than other types of reports.
Moderators are expected to view proper context and understand the current situation at hand before they take action rather than the flagged message itself. Once the call has been resolved, react with a “check” in order to inform other Moderators that the situation has been handled. If you believe the moderation call does not deserve a punishment, react with a “cross”. Senior Moderation will review the moderation calls and punishments if applicable.
It is mandatory for all CMT to react to the modcalls. This will be enforced by Senior Moderation.
