Welcome aboard !

Hi, I am Prashant Bisht working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Multifunctional Nano Bio Electronics Lab (MFNB), Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea.

I earned my PhD degree from the Department of Physics, IIT Delhi. My Ph.D. work was focused on the synthesis of 2D materials using pulsed laser deposition and chemical vapor deposition for studying the molecular-surface interaction and gas sensing properties as a function of layer thickness, orientation, and surface functionalization. Additionally, we employed In-situ XPS and KPFM techniques to further understand the gas sensing mechanism. Apart from gas sensing, I worked on the applications of 2D materials and their composites for photodetectors, memristors, thermoelectric energy harvesting, and photo-electrochemical water splitting.

My current interest lies in the scalable growth of 2D materials for novel electronic device applications with a focus on employing In-situ spectroscopic and scanning probe microscopy (SPM) based techniques to better understand the dynamics of underlying physical phenomena.
