In quadcopter control, the six degrees of freedom: three translational and three rotational, are coupled and controlled by four independent inputs (motor speeds). The dynamics of flight tend to be complex and nonlinear due to complicated aerodynamic effects, lack of friction for stopping and stability in air, so damping has to be actively produced by the control system. In this project, I have modelled these dynamics, provide means for simulation and apply control signals to stabilize the quadcopter.
