This Privacy Policy explains how PractoRide India ("PractoRide", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the PractoRide app (for farmers) and the PractoRide Driver app.
Farmers (PractoRide app)
Name, mobile number, email, village and district, and an optional profile photo.
Your precise location while you use the app, to show your position, measure your field and find nearby drivers.
The field boundary you draw, and your booking, payment and rating details.
Drivers (PractoRide Driver app)
Name, mobile number, email, profile photo, and vehicle and equipment details.
Driving licence number and licence photos, and your UPI ID (so farmers can pay you directly). Our team reviews these details to verify your account before you can accept rides.
Your precise location while you are Online in the app and during a job, including when the app is in the background or the screen is off. A notification is always shown while your location is being shared, and you can go Offline at any time.
Both apps
Device information and a notification token, used to send booking updates.
Records of bookings, payments and ratings.
To create and manage your account.
To match farmers with nearby drivers and show the farmer the driver's live location and arrival time.
To calculate fares and record how each booking was paid. Farmers pay the driver directly in cash or by UPI to the driver's own UPI ID; PractoRide does not collect or hold this money. Drivers pay PractoRide's platform commission separately.
To send booking notifications, provide support and prevent fraud.
Farmer and driver of a booking: name, mobile number and location, only for that booking. Online drivers' name, photo, vehicle and approximate position are shown to farmers searching nearby. When a driver collects payment by UPI, the driver's name and UPI ID are shown to the farmer in a payment QR code.
Service providers: Supabase (database, login and storage), Google (Maps, Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Razorpay (only to process commission payments made by drivers to PractoRide). We never see or store your UPI PIN or card details.
Legal: when required by law or to protect our users.
We do not sell your personal data.
Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. Only you, the other party of your booking, and authorised PractoRide staff can see your booking data.
We keep your account data while your account is active. Booking and payment records are kept only as long as Indian law requires for tax and accounting, and are then deleted.
You can ask us to delete your account at any time:
In either app, open Help & Support → Delete My Account, or
Email practorideindia@practorideindia.com with the subject "Delete my PractoRide account" from your registered email or mobile number.
We delete your account, profile, photos, licence and UPI details, and location data within 7 days. Booking and payment records that the law requires us to keep are kept only for that period and are not used for anything else.
PractoRide is not meant for anyone under 18 years of age.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
