Director/Camera Person
Jesse Chovanec is a junior BFA Theatre Artist. She has a self-directed concentration with a subfocus on Directing and Playwriting. You might’ve seen her work last semester in the One Acts Festival fittingly named, inextricable, or heard her work through the sound artistry of Dead Man’s Cell Phone. She would like to thank her cast and crew for so willingly jumping into a rabbit hole of a project and for creating such beautiful art together. She would like to thank her very supportive loved ones for simply being there in the thick of things. Shoutout to her furry and not-so-furry roommates!
Playwright
Jess Kreisler focuses mainly on topics from voices that are seldom heard. Recently graduating from Adelphi University, she is an original member of the Adelphi Alumni Playwrights Group where she's had performances of her most recent work, Still Waters Run Deep, and The Door War on Zoom. Jess has worked with playwrights such as Leslie Ayvazian, and J. Julian Jiménez. Currently, she has four plays being produced through the power of Zoom. Jess' ten minute-play, Trials And Tribulations has also recently been nominated for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Jess is extremely grateful and excited to have her piece, Leave It Be, as a part of Point Park’s Raymond Laine Memorial Multidimensional One Acts Festival.
Assistant Director
Selene Phillips is a recent graduate of Point Park University. While her focus has been primarily performance based, she has begun expanding into new realms of creative expression. Ultimately, Selene plans to pursue a career in film acting and screenwriting - as well as explore sects of energy healing and meditation.
Emily Stofan is a Junior Performance and Practices major and is beyond grateful to be a part of this production. She has had a wonderful time exploring this piece with these incredible artists (you’re all Heinz ketchup in her eyes) and cannot wait for you to experience it yourself. She would also like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her, love to you all.
Braxton McCollum is a recent graduate of Point Park’s Conservatory and is happy to be coming back to the playhouse stage for this performance. He would like to thank Jesse for having him be a part of this production and Emily for making this such a great experience.
