Albert Lewis Wash II is a director, actor, and writer who serves as the Co-Artistic Director of Helianthus Annuus Theatre Company. Originally born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Dallas, Texas. What sparked Albert to create his own theatre company was working under his mother Teresa Coleman Wash, who is currently serving as the Artistic Director at The Bishop Arts Theatre Center in Dallas, Texas. Albert studied BA Theatre Arts with a Directing Concentration & Musical Theatre minor at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Apart from making art, Albert loves to exercise, go fishing, and roller skate.
Anna Hanson is a 1st semester senior Theatre Arts major with a directing concentration and a Technical Theatre minor. She is absolutely thrilled to have the brilliant Albert Wash directing this piece! Some Recent Credits include: Ordinary Days (Assistant Director), The Trail to Oregon! (Son), Push Me Away (Director), Letters of a Lifetime (Director/Playwright), Don’t Speak(Director), Dance Nation (Vanessa/Dance Moms). Anna would like to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work in bringing this funny little show to life! Emma Lakey is a Sophomore acting major. She is originally from Jacksonville, Florida and is super thankful to have been a part of this amazing cast! She is a woman of simple pleasures, drinking sprite and hissing at men on the street. She would like to thank Albert for giving her this opportunity, and Anna for writing an amazing show!
Heather Poland is a sophomore musical theatre major with an applied music minor. She has previously portrayed Donna in Mamma Mia and worked on We Foxes with Ryan Scott Oliver. She is a cat mom and loves an action movie and was thrilled to be a part of this show.
Elizabeth Nucci is a freshmen B.F.A Acting major. During her time at Point Park, Elizabeth was cast in Pinnacle Production’s How I Learned to Drive and is so excited and grateful to be in another wonderful show! Julia Downing is a sophomore BFA Theatre Arts major from Southern New Hampshire. Last semester she made her Point Park debut in The New Play Reading Series as Quinn/Carla in “Climbing the Good Walls.” She would like to thank Albert for giving her this wonderful opportunity to grow as a performer and to learn from such an incredible director. Abigail Shaw was born and raised in Paradise, California; Abby enjoys playing with her dogs Lucy and Heidi, getting lost in the woods, making sushi for her family, and practicing her Air bending. Abby has been a part of the performing arts community since she was in diapers, (about eight years old.) She received her Associates degree in Theatre Arts at Butte College in 2019 and is currently working on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in performance and Practices at Point Park University. She believes art is what makes us human, what brings us together, and helps us heal.
Zelia Goodlow was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She would like to thank God, Albert Wash, and her mom. Her dream role is to play Toto in The Wiz on Broadway.
