When a worrying event happens, such as this virus, it is normal to have all different types of feelings about the event. Adults do too. It is important that we talk and manage these feelings.
Having good mental health is key to the healthy development and wellbeing of every child. Kids need good mental health - not only to be able to deal with challenges and adapt to change, but so they can feel good about themselves, build healthy relationships with others and enjoy life.
The staff at Paynesville Primary School are committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all our students. Mental health is a state of wellbeing where people can meet their learning potential, cope with normal stresses, and are connected to community and their friends.
If you have any concerns about the wellbeing of your child throughout their experience with remote learning please contact your child's classroom teacher or the school immediately.
We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which Paynesville Primary School stands, the Kurnai People, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We would like to pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the hopes, dreams and aspirations of all Indigenous Australians.
