My name is Mira Mehta, and I am a member of Girl Scout Troop 40861. I am working towards my Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve. The Gold Project is meant to build leadership and communication skills, while serving the community. For my Gold Project, I created instructional resources to provide alternative viewpoints on key historical events. My hope was to round out the most commonly heard perspectives, provoke critical thought, and spur fact-based discussion related to civil rights and systemic oppression.
