Mental health screening

Funded through the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) school-based Medicaid reimbursement program, this initiative authorizes Saint Louis Park Public Schools (ISD 283) to deploy a structured, evidence-based mental health screening and support system for Medicaid-eligible students in grades ECSE through age 22.

This document serves as an operational framework governing screening protocols, tiered intervention delivery, Medicaid billing compliance, and data accountability standards in alignment with federal and state requirements.

Mental health checklist:

A comprehensive, Medicaid-compliant framework outlining required procedures for identifying, documenting, risk-stratifying, and monitoring the mental health needs of students ages 18–22 to ensure clinical integrity, safety compliance, and appropriate service delivery.

Building team members are responsible for implementing the checklist to ensure students receive timely and appropriate care.
