Poseidon (Psychology International Development Organization) is a semi-autonomous organization under the umbrella of Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Poseidon was established in 2018 by three psychology majors seeking to create an environment to promote international culture and linguistic development customized to psychology students' needs. Now, Poseidon takes the major role to create events such as cultural exchange, language learning, and self-development training. "In Unity We Explore" is the value our members carry onto their day to day life. It is also our slogan to symbolize the three pillars of self growth; progression, collaboration, and synergy. This value and mindset, sets the members to be ready to promote and accomplish our visions.

Our visions consisted of two actionable causes as follows:

1. Endeavour openness and acceptances within our faculty members of diverse cultures available globally. This action leads us to enable the Faculty of Psychology forming cooperation and collaborations to potential international stakeholders.

2. Promote the UMM (University of Muhammadiyah Malang) psychology majors to be active global citizens. By promoting the importance of taking an active part as global citizens, Poseidon sets psychology graduates to create global impact through their skills, knowledge, and attitude.

Poseidon (Psychology International Development Organization) was formed in 2018 by three psychology majors, Wildan Zarief, Rizky Fitradhi, and Nurfitriani Marsuki. Together they co-found the Poseidon as a semi-autonomous organization under the umbrella of the Faculty of Psychology University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The idea of the founding stems from the Faculty vision; to become one of the most internationally active faculty in the field of psychology targeting the ASEAN academics., and the concern collective groups of psychology majors had for the international opportunities available to them. With this idea in mind, the co. founders (formerly the trident) gathered 14 other like-minded psychology students to develop what it is now called Poseidon.
