Frequently Answered Questions

What if I'm new to riding?

Our route planners have taken your comfort into account. There will be three routes between each destination. One will be the quickest and easiest. One will be a tad more challenging and then there will be a longer, twistier route. During our pre-party, you can hear about each and meet other women also riding within your zone of comfort. You can collect information and coordinate according to your preferred route and time of day for departure. Of course, you are welcome to make your own route!

What if I've never camped off my motorcycle?

We recorded several tip videos and a full Q and A about packing your motorcycle in April of 2020. Please partake. Let us know if you have additional questions! Attend Litas happy hours and rides during the spring and talk to other riders to find out from women that have done this a lot.

What is a nomadic motorcycle run?

These rallies are designed to focus on riding.  Because of the two sites, Mariposa is planned so you ride, get up and ride again, and then ride a third day to get home. While they don't feature much outside entertainment, you'll get to know your fellow riders extremely well. Many of the women's rides we've attended are in one spot for camping and we wanted a different experience for people. The guarantee is that you'll improve your riding skills and confidence and that you'll have new riding partners that feel like family.

Where are we going?

Each year, Mariposa features different locations. Sites are in the northwest and are generally 200-300 miles in between. 2024 sites will be announced on our social media channels @mariposarun and @pdxmotosyndicate (Instagram)

What are the camping locations?

For safety reasons, we don't publish the addresses publicly.  We share those during morning registration on the first day of the run.

Where can I find the routes?

We provide rough routes at the pre-party and downloadable/printer routes at registration, so make sure you can attend one of those events.  We offer 3 routes to each destination to accommodate different skill and comfort levels.
