RayRunner is a simple one button game where two players compete in order to do a certain number of laps as fast as possible.
The gameplay is simple, hold down the button to accelerate and release it to spin around. You'll need to spin around in order to break the small obstacles in your way. If you were hit by one, you'd be slowed down heavily.
Since the gameplay was pretty straightforward, I decided to put a lot of attention to the UI design and put some extra effort into it.
My main inspiration for it was the UI of the Wipeout racing game series, mainly Wipeout 2048. The UIs in these games were often very stylized with few shapes and patterns, that would transition fluidly into one another.
