Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). Students with a minimum 2.5 GPA and a desire to attend college may participate in AVID, which offers supplementary tutoring and extra guidance throughout the college admissions process.
Puente students take an accelerated 9th and 10th grade sequence of college preparatory English classes integrated with Mexican American/Latino and other multicultural literature. Puente is focused on increasing the number of students who enroll in a four year university.
Supports African American students who commit to taking the 15 required college courses for CSU/UC entrance. These students will receive support through site mentors, college trips, and tutoring when needed.
Legacy provides English Learners and Foster Youth academic, instructional, motivational, and family support that will facilitate progression toward college/career and world readiness upon graduation.
Dual enrollment courses are offered on Poly’s campus for students who wish to earn high school credits while also earning transferrable community college credits. Students may begin to take courses in their 10th grade year.
A college and career preparatory program that offers 14 different concentrations of study, each consisting of 6 AP classes, that allows students to focus their efforts in a field of study in which they are passionate about.
CTE training is given in classrooms equipped to industry standards. Classes are a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training taught by professionals in the industry who are credentialed by the State of California to teach in their areas of expertise. Poly currently offers Culinary Arts, Sports Fitness, and First Responders.
School of Career Education will be regionally recognized as the premier post-secondary occupational training program in Riverside County. A commitment to excellent instruction, coupled with continuous improvement will provide adult students a first rate affordable occupational training program.
