PolyChat is an iOS application that provides AI-powered character conversations and related features. PolyChat uses OpenAI to generate chat responses and power core in-app AI experiences.
By using PolyChat, you understand that certain information you provide in the app may be processed by OpenAI and other service providers strictly for operating, securing, improving, and supporting the app.
1. Information We May Collect
We may collect or process the following categories of information:
Chat content, prompts, replies, conversation context, saved moments, and milestone content
Voice-related data if you choose to use microphone or speech-to-text features
Profile photos or images you choose to upload
Push notification preferences and notification-related device tokens
Subscription, purchase, or entitlement status processed through Apple and RevenueCat
Diagnostic information, crash reports, analytics, remote configuration, and app performance data processed through Firebase or similar services
Rewarded advertising interaction data if rewarded ads are enabled in the app
Support emails, screenshots, attachments, and any other information you send to us for support
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and operate PolyChat
Generate AI responses and conversation experiences through OpenAI
Maintain conversation continuity, saved moments, and milestones
Process subscriptions, restores, and premium access
Deliver notifications you request

3. OpenAI Disclosure
PolyChat uses OpenAI to generate AI-powered responses and features. When you use chat or related AI functionality, user prompts, message history, and related context may be sent to OpenAI for processing.
Because PolyChat uses OpenAI, you should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information unless you are comfortable with that information being processed to provide the service.

4. Third-Party Services
PolyChat may use third-party service providers, including:
OpenAI for AI-generated responses and related processing
Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, and platform services
RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement status
Firebase for app configuration, analytics, and crash reporting
Google AdMob or related ad services for rewarded ads, if enabled
These third parties may process information as needed to perform services on our behalf or to provide platform functionality.
5. Permissions
PolyChat may request access to:
Microphone, to support voice input
Speech recognition, to convert speech to text
Photos, to allow profile image uploads
Notifications, to send app alerts you choose to receive
Face ID or device authentication, if enabled on your device for app privacy features
You can manage permissions in your iPhone Settings at any time.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to operate PolyChat, provide requested features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you delete content inside the app, we will aim to remove or stop using that content within a reasonable period, subject to technical, legal, backup, and security requirements.
7. Your Choices
You may be able to:
Delete conversations or related content from within the app
Disable notifications through iOS settings
Remove microphone, photo, or speech permissions through iOS settings
Contact us to request deletion or support assistance
8. Children's Privacy
PolyChat is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use this kind of service without parental permission. If you believe a child has provided personal information through PolyChat, please contact us and we will review the request.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and publish the revised version.
