"Polly Fenn taught my daughter clarinet for nearly five years in Guernsey and simply has ‘gone the extra mile’ to bring her on from Grade 3 to Grade 7 level within that time.
My daughter has blossomed under Polly’s careful and extremely detailed instruction to become the musician she is today. She has encouraged her and challenged her, providing professional advice and instruction at every stage. Nothing is too much trouble, from providing meticulous audio feedback and hand-delivering music in lockdown, to self-recording both clarinet and piano parts at slower speeds for my daughter to follow at home (an immense help when there are difficult timings and cues). Incidentally, Polly is a wonderful pianist which helps enormously.
Above all, my daughter felt very guided and supported through Polly’s instruction, so that she naturally adapted to the demands of higher level playing with ease.
Polly has always been kind, supportive and professional, and we will miss her as a family friend, too. My daughter will particularly miss her enthusiasm for music and being given the opportunity to branch out into learning other instruments such as bass clarinet and saxophone." - Sue

There's no need to cry
You don't have to go if you don't want to
We'll all have a tear, we're going to miss you miss

from the time you've been here (right through till now)
You taught us to sing
You gave us our wings to fly
So remember us

And we all grow up
But we'll never forget the way you helped us
We'll remember you in days to come
We hope you leave this school with pleasant dreams
We hope the stars shine bright for you to see
And the school will grow
With hope and joy
And all we want to say is goodbye"
