The Polk Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a volunteer-led non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students, families, and school staff. Our core mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Core Pillars & What We Do

• Family Engagement & Community: Hosting events like family picnic, staff appreciation meals, and community gatherings to foster a strong connection between home and school.

• Student & Teacher Support: Funding classroom resources, providing teacher grant opportunities and organizing special student programs.

• Advocacy: Speaking on behalf of students before school leaders and district decision-makers to promote equitable educational opportunities and student well-being.

• Communication: Keeping parents and guardians informed about school events, district updates, and available educational resources.

• Raise the standards of home life

• Advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth.

• Encourage collaboration and engagement between families and educators in the education of children and youth.

• Engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth.

• Advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding
