Melbo — Privacy Policy

Melbo ("the game", "we", "us") is published by Freshness Mobile Solusions. This page explains what data the game handles, who receives it, and what you control.
IN SHORT
The game has no accounts and no sign-in, and never asks for your name, email or phone number. Your progress is stored on your own device. The data that does leave your device is handled by two Google services the game uses: advertising (Google AdMob) and usage analytics (Google Firebase). We do not sell your data, and the game has no real-money purchases.
1. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The following is kept in the app's private storage on your device. We do not upload it anywhere:
- Progress: levels cleared, stars earned, best score per level
- In-game inventory: coins, lives and boosters (hammer, shuffle, extra moves)
- Daily check-in state and life-refill timers
- Settings: sound, haptics and display language
- When an ad was last shown, so that ads stay spaced out
Uninstalling the app removes all of this from your device.
2. ANDROID BACKUP
The app has Android Auto Backup enabled. If backup is turned on for your device, the operating system may copy the data listed in section 1 to your own Google Drive, so your progress survives a device change. That copy belongs to your Google account and we cannot read it. You can turn this off in your device's backup settings.
3. DATA COLLECTED BY GOOGLE SERVICES
3.1. Advertising — Google AdMob
The game is free and supported by advertising. There are three formats: an ad when the app opens, ads between levels, and rewarded ads that only play when you choose to watch them. To serve ads, Google may process:
- Your device's Advertising ID
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (country or region level, not precise location)
- Device information: model, operating system version, language and mobile carrier
- Ad interactions: impressions, completions and clicks
For details on how Google uses this data, see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
3.2. Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics
We use aggregate numbers to learn which levels are too hard and where players give up. The data is tied to a random app-instance identifier generated by Firebase, not to your identity. The events we send are:
- Level start and end: level number, win or loss, stars, score, moves left and attempt number
- Booster used, shop opened, in-game coins earned and spent
- Running out of lives; being offered a level rescue and whether it was taken
- Ad lifecycle: offered, shown, dismissed, reward earned, failed to load
- Which screen is open (map, level, shop, victory)
- Display language changes
Firebase also records automatically: language, country (derived from IP address), device model, operating system version and app version. The game additionally sets three properties: current language, number of levels cleared and total stars earned.
3.3. Firebase Remote Config
The game downloads a small configuration file from Google — for example, to enable or disable an ad placement without shipping an app update. This sends the app-instance identifier and app version.
4. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT
- Name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Contacts, photos, files, messages or call history
- Precise (GPS) location
- Health, financial or payment-card information
- Microphone, camera, or the list of apps installed on your device
The game has no real-money in-app purchases. Coins, lives and boosters can only be earned by playing or by watching rewarded ads.
5. PERMISSIONS THE APP REQUESTS
- VIBRATE — haptic feedback on matches and level completion. Can be switched off in the game's settings.
- Network access — loading ads, sending analytics and fetching configuration. This permission is included by Google's advertising libraries.
6. YOUR CONSENT AND CHOICES
- If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland: a Google consent form appears the first time you open the game, letting you choose how ads are personalised. You can change that choice at any time using the "Privacy" button on the map screen.
- Everywhere: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and opt out of personalised advertising, under Settings > Google > Ads on your Android device.
- Deleting your data: uninstalling the app deletes everything stored on the device. To request deletion of analytics data held by Google, email us at the address below with your device model and roughly when you played, and we will pass the request on to Google.
7. CHILDREN
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will act on it.
8. STORAGE AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Analytics and advertising data is stored by Google on Google's infrastructure, which may be located outside your country. Retention follows Google's own policies; Firebase Analytics defaults to 14 months for user-level data. We only ever view aggregated reports.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
As the game gains features, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will change. The updated version applies from the day it is posted.
