Travel to Vienna
Airport. Schwechat, Vienna's main airport, is located outside of the city limits. You can find more details about how to get to the city from the airport on the city website. For most travelers, the best option would be to take the local S7 train that goes from the airport to the centrally located Wien Mitte station.
Train stations. Incoming international trains typically stop at one of Vienna's main train stations: Wien Hauptbahnhof and Wien Westbahnhof. The former is located close to the CEU campus and to most recommended hotels (see Accommodation section below).
Getting around Vienna
Vienna has an excellent public transport system. The city's public transport authority, Wiener Linien, has a trip planner tool that can be used to outline all bus/train/tram routes from A to B in Vienna. (Google Maps and Apple Maps usually work equally well.)
Only local student passes are discounted for travel. You can buy single tickets for 2.40 EUR or a 72-hour pass for 17.10 EUR. See more on the city website.

Conference location
The conference will be held at the campus of the Central European University. The campus is comprised of a single building. Its full address is: Quellenstraße 51, 1100 Wien.
Accommodation in Vienna
CEU is located in the more central part of Vienna's 10th district, Favoriten. Districts 3 (Landstraße), 4 (Wieden) and 5 (Margareten) are the closest.
We recommend that conference participants stay in relative proximity to CEU's campus, as travel time can be prolonged in the morning and late evening.
