A large passenger ship sailing the seas between Mariville Town and Nightwell City, with a crew led by Captain Lang. The Pokémon League covers the faire for Gym Challengers, allowing players to sail free of charge.
Once players have boarded the ship, the are unable to leave without completing both the Triple Challenge and the following story beats.
By using the phone in their cabin, players can order Room Service, which comes with a free nature-changing Mint of their choosing, as well as a Room Service Item, and a boost to the happiness of every Pokémon in their party.
The garbage cans in the kitchen each contain an item.
A Shady Trainer can be found in one of the first floor cabins, who players can pay to train their Pokémon to level 15.
The shop in the on-board Pokémon Center sells Net Balls, which can be difficult to obtain otherwise.
After clearing the Triple Challenge, players can rest in the bed in their cabin to progress further. Most of what can be done on the ship becomes inaccessible once this is done, however.

The Triple Challenge is an attraction of sorts held for trainers by the ship's crew, reminiscent of a Pokémon Gym. Players have to find three members of the crew in need of assistance, and help them with whatever they need. After helping three crew members, they earn the right to battle the ship's captain to win a prize.
Completing the Triple Challenge is required to progress in the game.
To begin the Triple Challenge, players need to speak with Captain Lang on the bridge, aka the top floor.
The crewmen the player can help are found in the pantry, on the deck, and in the southwest-most cabin on the second floor.
The crewman in the pantry needs help dealing with a wild Venipede that snuck inside. After defeating or capturing the Venipede, players can battle Sailor Finn. Once he's defeated, he informs the captain that you helped him out.
The crewman on the deck needs help finding a lost child's parents. Players can find who they need in the kitchen, examining the southwest-most garbage can. After talking to her, they can return to the deck and battle Ace Trainer Amanda. Once she's defeated, the sailor informs the captain that you helped him out.
The crewman in the second floor cabin needs help finding someone famous on board to introduce to his son. Players can find the woman from Route 4, the Champion Solaire, in the southeast-most cabin on the first floor, who agrees to meet the child. After talking to her, they can return to the second floor cabin and battle School Kid Ken. Once he's defeated, the sailor informs the captain that you helped him out.
Having helped all three sailors, players can return to the bridge to battle Captain Lang and complete the challenge.

Players do not get access to a PC between resting in their cabin and fighting the first battle.
While teamed up with Callie, players' Pokémon are healed after each battle.
During the attack, the kitchen and pantry become completely inaccessible, and players are no longer able to order room service.
After the four multi-battles have been won, the player is brought to Penrith Isle, and the S.S. Cinaeco becomes fully inaccessible, likely for the rest of the game.
