I’m Cheryl Stern and I have lived in Plainview for 7 years with my husband, our two sons and our dog Simba! Our younger son is graduating from Stratford Road Elementary this June and our oldest is finishing 7th grade at Matlin Middle School in the special program.

I am an educator, a rabbi, a mom and I am running for a seat on the POB School Board to be voice for all of POB’s families, but especially for those in the special needs community. Helping children with special needs has been my life’s work and I want to help other families, like mine, through the challenges of navigating every level of education. 

If elected, I will work to listen to all voices and do all I can to build consensus amongst the Board and everyone we represent. I thoroughly believe our children deserve nothing but the best and I look forward to delivering on that promise.
