Many colleges will offer you scholarships to sing in their choir - no music major necessary!
Apply for the college you wish to attend
email the college choir director - tell them your voice part and that you want to sing in their choir
each college will have scholarship and audition information online
If necessary, sign up for one of their 1st 2 audition dates (usually Dec, Jan, or Feb)
sing 1 or 2 of your UIL Solos
Colleges will offer more scholarships if you are a Music Major/Minor who has made Region Choir, Area Choir, or All-State choir.
I have had many students get half tuition or full-ride scholarships to sing in the college choir without being a music major!!
Receiving the TMEA Texas Music Scholar award will also help your chances at scholarships. https://www.tmea.org/texas-music-scholar/
TMEA also has has scholarships for Music Majors https://www.tmea.org/scholarships/undergraduate/
