Senior Dispatcher Recruitment Process

When there is a vacancy for a Senior Dispatcher, it is posted within the PLPD Online website. This is so that everyone gets a fair chance in becoming a Senior Dispatcher. Once a said individual passes all of the Stages within the Senior Dispatcher Application, they are granted the rank of Senior Dispatcher.

The Senior Dispatcher Application consists of 3 stages. The first stage is the written response, where the applicant is required to write responses to each of the questions asked. Once this stage is submitted, the Head of Dispatch and Dispatch Command members will review the applicant's responses and choose to either grant them the ability to advance to Stage 2 or fail the application.

Stage 2 consists of a Background Check, where a background check will be completed to see if you are eligible for the position. If passed, you move onto Stage 3. If your background does not meet the criteria needed to be a Senior Dispatcher, then your application will be denied.

Stage 3 consists of a Command Review, where the Head of Dispatch and Dispatch Command will review the applications submitted and select those who they feel fit to be a Senior Dispatcher. If you pass Command Review, you are granted the rank of Senior Dispatcher.
