The Dispatcher Computer is the most important tool given to you as a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher Computer allows you to control units, see active 911 calls within the city, and access CCTV Cameras within the city. It is important for you to understand the function of Dispatcher Computer.
In this page, you will learn about all of the functions that the Dispatcher Computer has to offer.
The Dispatcher Computer overview gives you all the information you need to dispatch out calls to units. In the picture to the left, you can see a sample of the Dispatcher Computer. It is not like the regular Police Computer that Police Officers have.
In the picture to the left, you can see that there is three options. This section will give you information about the Units catagory.
The Unit Catagory allows you to see which individuals are under the callsigns. As you can see in Papa 1, there are two individuals assigned to this unit.
The Overview Category informs you on how many individuals are in each job, as well as, the maximum slots allotted to each job.
The Legend Category informs of the types and color coding of the units on the Dispatch Map
There is two types of radios within the Police Department. One of them being the text radio (/gov). As a Dispatcher, you are able to see the Text Based Radio at all times.
As you see in the picture to the left, every incident will look like this if it is imported into the Police/Dispatcher Computer. You have several actions you can do to each call.
Close - This action deletes the call from the service. This option is not reversible, so use caution and ensure that all units are clear from that call before closing it.
Unassign- This action unassigns ALL units from the call. Only use this option when needed, such as removing all units from the call.
Locate- This action will locate the incident on the Dispatch Map, which a picture of is located above.
Assign to Selected- This action will assign the current unit you have selected in the Dispatcher Computer to the call. This allows them to use the Incident Radio.
Two options you can do within the Dispatcher Computer is view the Police Computer (which is the regular computer for Police Officers) and view CCTV cameras.
The CCTV Camera GUI shows all of the CCTV Cameras within Paralake City. As well, if you zoom in on the Dispatcher Computer Map, you are able to click on the cameras there, as well.
There is an option to Save Frame, which is good for saving pictures of suspects comitting crimes. These will save as a Screenshot in your Steam Screenshots.
