Attorney Bill Schlecte brings over 40 years of practical experience in real estate and brokerage law to PLN. Since 1974, when he began writing and conducting courses for the University of Michigan Real Estate Program, Bill has been heavily involved in presenting a variety of courses and seminars for attorneys, brokers, salespersons and other members of the real estate industry. In addition to handling all areas of real estate transactions, Bill has also litigated hundreds of real estate controversies in state and federal courtrooms. As a result, he has a unique and pragmatic insight into the problems that real estate professionals face.

Laura Dwyer Schlecte

Broker/Owner, Thinking Real Estate

Laura's real estate career began in 1983, earning her associate broker license in 1986. In 1993, she opened a residential brokerage firm in Jackson, MI., where she served as broker/owner until late 1999. Currently, Laura travels the country as a trainer for Prudential Real Estate Affiliates.

Laura has served as president of the Jackson Multiple Listing Service, as a member of the public policy committee for the Michigan Association of REALTORS and on the Board of Directors for the Jackson Area Association of REALTORS. Laura’s experience as a national trainer, coupled with her hands-on experience in sales, appraising and management offers students the opportunity to walk away with many practical and applicable ideas.

Jacqueline Austin

Jacqueline began her career in real estate in 1991 when she began working in management at Thinking Real Estate in Jackson, Mich., a position she still holds today. In 1999, Jacqueline took the next step and earned her real estate license. In her management position with Thinking Real Estate, not only is Jacqueline able to interact with real estate agents and assist in agent technique training, but she is also in charge of implementing the quality management for the real estate process within the company. Additionally, Jacqueline is an active volunteer within the Jackson community.
