- The four main islands are called: Kyushu, Shikoku, Honshu and Hokkaido. It has about 4000 islands of which 430 are inhabited.
- The highest mountain is called Mount Fuji which is 3776 m high. It's an active volcano.
- There are 100 active volcanos along Japan.
- Sumo is a Japanese style of wrestling and it is its national sport.
- Chopsticks are a pair of sticks that are used specially by people in Asia to pick up and eat food.
