A IDENTIFICATION OF PLEAD POSITIVE PEACE PROJECT

The Promotion of Learning and Education in Distance, PLEAD in acronym is legally registered in Burundi country by June 26th, 2002 as a not for profit association aiming to raise professional knowledge towards platforms of learning in distance in order to struggle against ignorance and its main corollaries named: “poverty” and “violence” inducing somewhat the peace process fragility in the Great Lakes Region of Africa .

Accordingly, it is obvious that PLEAD positive peace project pursues the effective positive peace process through the improvement of digital knowledge ; the economic development through the transformation of traditional to modern system of economic production ; the effective free trade zone inside the Great Lakes Region of Africa ; the basic support of vulnerable groups for decreasing the social ressentiments ; the leadership emergency for developing positive attitudes ; institutions and structures sustaining the peaceful society based upon free and reliable information ; the food security ; the healthcare resilience ; the social equity justice based; the community cohesion and prevention of violent extremism and so on.

Subsequently, PLEAD positive peace project aims to progressively implement the eight pillars of positive peace framework in the enclosed countries of the Great Lakes
