COMPLEX COMMUNICATION
Complex communication is based on the successful sharing of information through multiple means that include visual, digital, verbal and nonverbal interactions. The message is purposeful, clear and concise and leads to an accurate exchange of information and ideas. Complex communication in the 21st Century reflects:

091: Purposeful Play with LEGO featuring Becky McDowell https://wp.me/s4covo-091
Challenge: Use one of the ideas in the slidedeck this week with your family, friends, school, church, etc.
Share and document the journey. Leave reflection ideas in the notes of the slide of the activity you used.
Add your own ideas. Create new slides. If you tweaked it, then add new slides and explain how you changed it up.
Here is a link to the slidedeck. Once we add our ideas, I will have this deck cleaned up with a graphic design artist to allow it to look professional.
The end goal is that you could print and laminate and have in your space.
Challenge: Build a model of something that you will either give or take a picture of to show gratitude towards the person. Send a letter, email, or gift.
Please share your model, but you don't have to share the message(that is personal). Let us spread some positive vibes.
Here is a link to the slidedeck. Share your builds. You don't have to share the personal message as that is personal, but we would love to see your builds to serve as inspiration for others to spread the positive ripples of joy!
081: Jeff Robin & Why You Need To Do The Work https://wp.me/s4covo-081
I know you probably don't have time for another podcast, but as we think about communication and helping students develop these skills we must create authentic learning opportunities. This conversation is so powerful and good for us to remember to do the work ourselves and stay real!
If you have resources for me to compile here, then send me an email and I will add them. In the meantime, here are two additional podcasts that display excellent communication skills.
I cannot help but share these two podcasts of some INCREDIBLE students who not only display examplar presentation of communication, but everything that is possible with hands on learning. Seriously, these kids are beyond me and they have not even graduated high school. What amI doing with my life? :)
As mentioned in the video, I am working with a wonderful team to bring some powerful and meaningful learning around how to play, SEL competencies, and standards.
This is the site where everything will be posted and shared. Be patient as we build these out, test, experiment, and refine to make better.
However, feel free to use and let us know if you use them so we can learn from you as well.
