I've still got my old worlds from when C0.30 was on the MC site on my hard drive, and I'd like to play them again, for nostalgia's sake. But on the version of 0.30 on the launcher, I can't load levels, and saving levels is locked, asking for a premium version.

The 0.30 tournament is over. On behalf of the Dev Team, many thanks to all the server admins, outside contributors, bug reporters, and to the many DCSS players who made the 0.30 release and tournament possible!

This is the first time someone has won the tournament with 100% winrate since theglow won all 18 of their games in the 0.11 tournament in 2012. elliptic (27th(!) overall) notes that there have been 24 tournaments with the 16-day format, and in the first 12 of them there were 15 distinct players who won at least 18 games in a single tournament, while in the second 12 of them there were 66 such players. Despite this trend, Sergey, who also took 1st place in the previous 0.29 tournament, took 1st place in this tournament with 14 fewer wins (11 vs 25 in 0.29) and played over 3 hours less per day on average (4:43:25 vs 7:58:28 in 0.29)!

I am creating a mobile app using react-native where I schedule local notifications which play a sound when the notification is fired. I am using PushNotificationIOS API in react-native to handle local notification in iOS. I have been using react-native version 0.24 till now and the sound use to play as expected. I recently updated to latest version 0.30 and the sound doesn't play now on receiving notification. I am not sure what is wrong as nothing has been changed w.r.t. playing sound using PushNotificationIOS since 0.24. I have confirmed that:

Increasing exposure of children and adolescents to electronic media is a worldwide phenomenon, including in Thailand. To date, few studies examine electronic game play in Thai adolescents. Our research describes the prevalence of electronic game play and examines associations between the time spent engaged in electronic game play and school performance of adolescents in Hat-Yai municipality. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 1,492 adolescents from four secondary schools and one commercial college from January through March 2007, using questionnaires for collecting information about demographic data, school grades, and electronic game play behaviors. The prevalence of electronic game play was 75% in boys and 59% in girls. Twenty-two percent of boys and 8.7% of girls played electronic games every day with more than 2 hours per session. The two most common places of game play were at game shops (71%), followed by at their own home (70%). Using linear regression analysis, the "low user or less than 2 hours per session" game players and females were less likely to have school grades below 3.00 with adjusted odds ratios of 0.44 (95% CI 0.25-0.80, p = 0.004) and 0.49 (95% CI 0.30-0.76, p = 0.005) respectively. This study finds that excessive playing of electronic games is associated with school grades below 3.00.

Kerr WMA studies indicate that most antler traits are genetically transmitted. Heritability estimates greater than 0.30 are considered to be moderately heritable, and heritability estimates greater than 0.50 are highly heritable. Heritability estimates for weight gain in cattle range from 0.30 to 0.40. Data listed in the table on the right indicate that antler characteristics are moderately to highly heritable.

Apple Mobile Device Support v16.0.0.30 when the current version is v16.0.0.25. I cannot find an update to get it to version 16.0.0.30 and hence Norton fails to update it to 16.0.0.30 when using Norton's auto update method.

After looking into the command a bit, I figured out that it's setting how the two stereo channels are composed; the FL (front left channel) is taken from the original FC (front center) plus 0.30*FL (30% from the front left) plus 0.30*BL (30% from the back left) and so on.

First, I never encountered a global volume issue. After reading the answer from @Franz-Michael Fisher I made a few tests, starting from a file with a DTS 5.1 track and transcoding it to pcm_s16le, pcm_f32le, and aac, all of them with the -ac 2 option. When playing the files with VLC and headphones, all of them sound the same as the original, except the pcm_s16le one that sounds quieter. Since I always use aac, the global volume is apparently not an issue.

I'm happy to announce that Fyrox 0.30 has been released! Fyrox is a modern game engine written in Rust, it helpsyou to create 2D and 3D games with low effort using native editor; it is like Godot, but in Rust. This is thebiggest release of the engine since the very beginning. This release is mostly focused on animation, editor, audio, quality-of-life improvements.

Blend shapes allows you to dynamically change 3D meshes; they are widely used in games to create facialanimation, to dynamically add details to character body parts, etc. It is quite simple, yet very powerfulmechanism, that opens a wide range of possible uses: you can create cut-scenes directly on the engine whereyour characters will speak using pre-defined set of shapes associated with visemes (opens new window). You can also use this to create characters creator for your game - all you need to do is to specify a setof offsets for desired parts of face and then allow a player to mix these parts with any proportions theylike. In other words, actual use of this functionality is limited by your imagination.

It is now possible to rewind, enable, disable specific animations when entering/leaving ABSM state. It isvery useful if you have a one-shot animation (for example, for a melee attack) and you want it to play againwhen some state was activated.

Game servers usually do not render anything, nor playing any sounds. Even main application window can not exist.Previously, it was somewhat impossible to fully prevent the engine from creating the window, render graphics andoutput sounds. Now it is possible, to initialize the engine in "headless" mode without the window, renderer andaudio system initialized. It can be put back into standard mode at any time.

Previously, the sound system supported direct output of sound samples to an audio playback device with someeffects that can take samples from sound sources and put processed samples in the audio playback device. It worked ok for most cases, but it was quite rigid and effect management was a pain. To add more flexibility inaudio processing pipeline there was added two new entities: audio buses and audio bus graph.

Audio bus is a sound processing unit that takes samples from various sound sources, applies zero or more effects tothe samples and sends the samples either to an audio playback device or some other audio bus (see the nextsection). Effect list includes: lowpass filter, highpass filter, bandpass filter, allpass filter, low andhigh shelf filters, reverberation.

Sound management in the editor now much more predictable and convenient. Previously, any sound in Playingstate would immediately start playing after you load a scene in the editor, making pretty much impossibleto create sound effects. It is now fixed, every sound is now not updating until you start previewing it.This can be done in a new audio preview panel:

To activate it, all you need to do is to select a Sound node. Then you need to click on Preview checkboxand the sound will start playing. Any changes made in this panel will not be recorded in the scene, youcan play with the sound as you want to.
