Column 3: Blooming periods are based on observations from 2017–2024. "All year" excludes times with snow cover. Plants blooming from fall to spring may lose flowers in cold weather. Open-ended periods indicate flowers may be lost during summer droughts or persist until frost.
Columns 4 & 5: Pollen colors are derived from photos of pollen-carrying bees. Bumble bee pollen colors may be less accurate due to their lower floral fidelity. Click HEX color codes to view reference photos. If appropriate bee photos were unavailable, pollen chunks collected for microscopic analysis were photographed.
