We presented the results of our PLanTra project at SIG Writing 2022, held in Umeå on June 20-22. The title of our presentation was Text simplification in a second language: Analysing the impact of training from a process and product perspectives.

On 13 May 2022, we presented the results of our PLanTra project at the first conference organised by Network of Interdisciplinary Translation Studies in the Netherlands and Flanders. Our presentation was titled Text revision in a second language: Analysing the impact of training with keystroke logging and retrospective interviews.

On 25 March 2022, we participated at the workshop Words/Machines #4: Text Simplification and Adaptation with the presentation The impact of text simplification training on comprehensibility: Combining automated metrics and human evaluation.

We presented our research about text simplification and typing skills in a fun and engaging way at the Dag van de Wetenschap, organised by the University of Antwerp (28 November 2021, online). To see the activities that we proposed, click here.

On 26 August 2021, we participated at the 19th Biennial Conference of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI), where we showcased our plain language module as part of an ICT demonstration.

We presented the design, development, and preliminary evaluation of our module on plain language for business texts at the online conference Dimensions of Business Language and Cultures, 15-16 April 2021.
