The 2026–2027 Plano East Panther Battalion Drill Team is the battalion’s most demanding team. Utilizing demilitarized M1903 Springfield Rifles, the team competes in both Armed and Unarmed divisions across three competition phases:
- Inspection: Uniform perfection and cadet knowledge evaluation (per AR 670-1 and CCR 145-2).
- Regulation Drill: Precise execution of a mandatory, pre-set marching sequence (per TC 3-21.5).
- Exhibition Drill: A creative freestyle routine featuring complex ripple maneuvers, synchronized rifle spins, and tosses.

Led by Team Commander c/2LT Marcos Trujillo and Executive Officer c/1SG Valeria Jimenez, the team practices every Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Award eligibility is based on competition attendance, requiring cadets to participate in two meets to earn a Ribbon, and three meets to qualify for both the Arc and the Cord.
